SHOCKING REVELATION: Electricity Generation Has Increased To 4000mw says FG.

"At the end of 2014, China had 114,763 MW of wind power installed. Several countries have achieved relatively high levels of wind power penetration, such as 39% of stationary electricity production in Denmark, 18% in Portugal, 16% in Spain, 14% in Ireland and 9% in Germany in 2010".............Wikipedia

Does anyone really knows how many megawatts Nigeria need to meet energy demands?

In 2013, There were revelations by the then Power Minister, Prof Chinedu Nebo that at a time Nigeria has shifted the target date for generating 10,000 mega watts from December of that year, to the first quarter of 2014, he said about 200,000MW is needed to meet current energy demands.

Many question beg for answers here, why is the Government not  diversify its energy mix by increasing power generated from wind, solar and other bio-mass to reduce dependence on gas and hydro powered plants?

Why has the Government not revoked the sham called privatization of the power sector during the Jonathan era and completely review it to see what works and discard what is not working?

Why has the Government not concentrate more on power Generation rather than Power/Energy
Distribution because i believed if there is enough power Generation there won't be so much trouble distributing it anyway?

Why has the Government not invite genuine partner in progress who will turn around the fortune of the Power sector in Nigeria?

Why is the Government still using Generators in their various offices and homes if they are truly sincere about the development of the Power sector? I think at this critical period in our polity, there shouldn't be a single Generating Set in Aso-Rock Villa so as to put whomever is in charge of the power ministry to be up and doing at all time.

Anyway, i believed Buhari meant well for this country, but he needs to do more than meets the ordinary eye....
