“Seven Deadly Sins
Wealth without work
Pleasure without conscience
Science without humanity
Knowledge without character
Politics without principle
Commerce without morality
Worship without sacrifice.”—Mahatma Ghandhi.
Much has
been said about the CAN President in the person of Ayo Oritsejafor, he (Ayo)
ought to know by now that the whole story about the botched arm deal is a bad
omen to his priesthood. How else in this world would it have been imagined if the
Pope of the Catholic Church is involved in illegal or black market purchase of
Arms and Ammunitions for the Italian Government? It is unholy, ungodly and sacrilegious.

When will
the government asked the church to formally update and modify its memorandum
and articles of association to a profit oriented entity since Oritsejafor has a
corporate organization with which he leased the private jet in question?
How do the
people involved in the Gospel of Arms and money laundering came about
$9.3million raw cash, could it be that all the private jets in this contraption
called Nigeria has been used at one point or the other to launder money out of the country?
Does Ayo
Oritsejafor care about the overall image of the Christendom? If he does, how
come he is always involved in matters which goes beyond the faith of the Christ-like
people? Jeremiah 51:14 Jehovah of hosts hath sworn by Himself,
'saying, surely I will fill thee with men, as with the canker-worm; and they
shall lift up a shout against thee.
Why did
Oritsejafor decided to lease out a private jet he blatantly lied to us last
year that, it was a donated gift by church members for evangelism, is money laundering
and illegal arms procurement part of the gospel of Jesus Christ?
What is the
role of the CBN in this matter of illegal ferrying of raw cash to buy arms in
the black market, if the CBN is not involved in this matter and the federal
Government has defended the covert deal as being sanctioned by the President of
the Federal Republic Nigeria, how do we ascertain there are not many sting
operations like this going on underground?
Why did the
Nigerian Government hurriedly ask the South-African counterparts to release the
private jet of Ayo Oritsejafor when in actual fact we were made to believed that
the transaction is a genuine one, is this not a cover up of the mess we have
found ourselves as a country?
Furthermore, whatever has happened to the speed with which Oritsejafor respond and react to national
issues is a source of worry to most Nigerians, why has Pastor Ayo decided to
keep mute on this important matter at this critical period?
Can we
assume that the weapons and arms in question is meant for 2015 election in
which CAN is a stakeholder and active participant, or how do we explain CAN's involvement in the transformation agenda of President Jonathan if not through
the open support it preaches at the altars in various churches across Nigeria?
Lastly, if
the operation is genuine and intended for the good of the country, why not at least carry along the South -African Government in the matter, because Nigeria
security operatives arrested some Lebanese in a similar junket arm deals two
years ago and they were prosecuted based on the fact that the arms/weapons deal
was not disclosed to Nigerian Government? At this juncture in our national
history, it is almost impossible to trust and believed our leaders anymore, they
have failed us repeatedly, done more harm than good to our collective image,
bastardize our diversity by igniting hatred amongst the various ethnic groups
in the country. May God help us to overcome these devil's advocates?
“Whoever is
careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important
matters” –Albert Einstein.
