Top 3 Causes For Procrastination

There are those people who are supposed to achieve greater things but fail to do so. Why? Some of the external factors cannot be controlled. However, most of the time factors for success lie within us. Procrastination is one of the many roadblocks that could hinder you down the road to greater achievements. Anyone can procrastinate. Sometime we don’t even realize there were doing it. However, there are also those time where we already know that we’re procrastinating yet we fail to do anything to stop it. Why do people procrastinate anyway and what are the effects of procrastination to people? There are several reasons as to why people start procrastinating in the first place. Let’s have a look at some of the reasons why:

Skill Deficiency

One of the most common reasons for procrastination is the lack of ability. Completing tasks often requires certain skills from an individual. Having no related skills of any sort that would aid in the completion of the task would make it seem impossible to even begin. Most often, skill related problems leading to procrastination are solved by addressing what the actual problems are. Seeking professional help or counseling often aids greatly in addressing these concerns.

Lack Of Interest

No matter how awesome anything is to you, if someone else don’t find interest in it they never will. Lack of interest will lead people to avoid tasks that are not in their favorable list. If in case you are subjected to complicated tasks, the best way to approach it is to put your feelings aside and simply do it. Doing it without any mental burden of not liking it will greatly reduce the chances of procrastination.

Lack Of Motivation

There is often a misconception about how motivation works. Most of the time people think that they need to be motivated first before doing tasks. But how about unpleasant tasks? Tasks like shoveling snow in the freezing cold, raking leaves in fall, or doing taxes. These tasks are not the most pleasant of tasks but people still do them. Why? Motivation really comes after the task has been started. Once the ball start rolling, the desire to complete it can be enough motivation to keep going.

These examples are only some of the many reasons why people start procrastinating. As you can see, curing procrastination takes a lot of determination and is not for the faint of heart. Just always remember that there is no great task without a great person and that individual could be you.

UN-HEALTHY RIVALRY: WHAT APC AND PDP ARE NOT TELLING NIGERIANS.

If the general election had been held on February 14^th 2015 Nigerians would have known who their next President is, but the power that be coupled with some administrative laxity on the part of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) decided to shift the date till March 28^th 2015. The power-play and propaganda witnessed during the campaign period is enough to throw the country into confusion but majority of Nigerian populace has grown thick skin to the unpleasant antecedents of the political class. In this article, my major concern is not to juxtapose the strength of the two major political parties but to bring to the fore one of the key sector of the economy ignored by the political gladiators in their campaign and that key factor is not other than HEALTH SECTOR.

Let me start with the age long  saying that ‘HEALTH IS WEALTH’ and as we all know that without fitness, health and agility the body is just like a car without an engine therefore it could hardly perform optimally. I have been following up with the camaraderie and deceptions in the name of campaigns and manifestos by the PDP and  APC respectively, the greater part of their message is centered upon taking over power and retaining power at all cost from one another. To whom much is given, much is expected, Nigerians do not expect less from Government in certain areas of social welfare like Health, Security, Electricity, Basic Education, Road and other basic infrastructures. Therefore it will not be too much to ask the Government at all levels to provide FREE medical services to all the citizens of this great nation considering the vast and abundant wealth at our disposal, also taking into cognizance the colossal thievery and corruption going on in the corridor of power, this amount in billions of dollars are either being stolen, siphoned, laundered, mismanaged and corruptly diverted into private pockets of our leaders is enough to provide FREE MEDICAL CARE for everyone in this Nation. However, our leaders both the present FG led by the PDP and the opposition parties largely led by APC are complacent on this issue by not providing enough for the Health system to function effectively.

PATRICK SAWYERR of Liberia really expose the lag in the Health management system of this country when he came with the EBOLA virus into the country last year August 2014, save for the fire brigade approach of the Lagos State Government, Nigeria would have been worst hit by the lethal virus. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) standard of doctor-patient ratio 1:600, Nigeria currently posts a poor doctor-patient ratio of 1:3500. In the last 6months I have had the cause to

It is a sad story hearing about the military we once look up to as the standard bearer of DISCIPLINE, being initiated into the political circus of CORRUPTION,NEPPOTISM, IMPUNITY and highest disregard for the rule of Law.For how long are we going to continue the culture of misrule bedeviling this great nation called NIGERIA, the giant of AFRICA? I pray we effect the desired change as we go to the poll in the general election come March 28 2015.May GOD help Nigeria.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE YOU TO SUCCEED WITH INTERNET MARKETING?

Anyone going into Internet marketing always wants to know how long it will take to find success. While success can be different for each person, the underlying question beneath it all is, “How long will it be until I start making steady money?”

The answer to that is that it’s different for every person because it depends on your idea of success as well as many other factors. Some of the other factors involved will even vary from marketer to marketer.

You might be able to see your first sale the very first week that you’re in business as a marketer, yet on the flip side of that fast first week sale, you could toil all year long before you ever see the first dime for all of your efforts.

What is it that makes the difference between faster profits and having to wait? One of the factors could be the way you’ve set up the business - the model that you use in your strategy for success.

Another factor could be how much time you have to put into the business. Obviously, the more time you have to work the business, the faster you’ll reach each goal that you set for your monetary success.

It also depends on how quickly you can put into practice each step that you need to take to set up the

Getting a Second Job for the Short Term

Working two jobs is quickly becoming the norm instead of the exception.  Many people even work three jobs.  More than 17% of Americans presently work more than one job and that number is increasing yearly.  With the spiraling costs of fuel and food it’s getting harder and harder to make ends meet on one income.

Many jobs are yours for the taking but may not suit your tastes.  Jobs at vocational centers are easy to come by but most are filled by teenagers who are only there for the short term.  Unless you’re planning to ultimately get into restaurant management fast food jobs are typically not for the long term but could fill the bill in the interim.

Working as a freelance person however can yield some nice dough especially for a popular outfit with wider coverage.  Plus, it’s an excellent place to make contacts and get the word out that you’re looking to upgrade your employment status.  Doing a good job at wherever you’re working will get you noticed.

Examine yourself.  What are you good at?  What are your talents, hobbies, likes and dislikes?  If you’re musical, search for a job in the music field such as a music store.  If art is your forte, you

FAMILY BUSINESS VALUES

I was watching an NTA program this morning and saw Chinyere Kesko who is a female furniture maker in the south eastern part of the country, she was mentored by her husband who is also a furniture maker too. She has carved a niche for herself in the furniture industry.

Lesson 1: whether you are a male or female, there is NO limit to what area of business you can exploit.

Lesson 2 : You can be part of your spouse business in a lot of way, like i am the brand and business development manager of my wife's fashion business and am loving the challenge of how she serves her customers right.

Lesson 3: Its been generally agreed that people like those persons who are seen as doing service expected to be done by the opposite gender. e.g Female mechanic in V.I Lagos, Male hairstylist, Lady cobbler in Allen Ikeja, and also Chinyere Lady furniture maker.

Start something unusual today to receive an uncommon acceptance in the business cycle.

Today, tens of thousands of people are considering starting a home based business, and for good reasons. On average, people can expect to have two and three careers during their work life. Those leaving one career often think about their second or third career move being to their own home.
