A FREE BUSINESS PLAN/FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE SET-UP OF NYLON AND POLYTHENE BUSINESS IN NIGERIA

A BUSINESS PLAN FOR THE SET-UP OF A NYLON AND POLYTHENE BUSINESS IN NIGERIA

  1. INTRODUCTION
Nylon printing business is one of the most commonly known businesses and it has stood the test of time as a result of the growing demand for nylon bags for a wide range of domestic purposes such as shopping, bagging, and covering, manufacturing businesses require nylon in large quantities for wrapping and packaging their products. As the world is going corporate, the need for packaging is increasing every day.

Packaging improves image and branding of a product, hence the need for shopping bags. Almost every business uses shopping bags these days ranging from supermarkets, eateries, banks (cash bags), boutique, and bookshop to road side shops thereby creating large demand for the product. Polyethylene products enjoy both national and international patronage. In fact, it is one of the fasted selling consumer goods in the country today. This is because its demand has a relationship with the level of demand for other goods. The product is demanded all year round and not affected by season; nevertheless, it has a greater demand during the raining season.

  1. SUCCESS FACTOR OF THE BUSINESS
  1. CAPITAL AND RAW MATERIALS REQUIRED
Basically there are two types of nylon namely the low and high density nylons. The low density nylon is the nylon used for wrapping bread. It is also used by dry cleaners and in pure water production. Generally, low density nylon because of their thickness does not make noise when squeezed. It varies in thickness depending on the purpose for which it is being used and what the customer wants.
As a matter of fact the capital involved depends largely on the financial capability of the investor. If you have small capital, you can start with the locally fabricated machines, semi-automatic machinery or better still you can start with buying the raw materials while the extrusion/blowing of the raw material, cutting, punching and printing aspect of the production process would be taken care of by other companies. The only thing to be done is marketing of the finished goods and a significant mark-up will still be achieved. On the other hand, if you can afford the cost, it is best to acquire a fully-automatic machine, which is much more efficient and profitable because aside your own productions, you can as well get jobs from outside.
The machines required to start nylon processing plant includes but not limited to:-
  1. EXTRUDER FILM BLOWING MACHINE: - This is the machine which turns the raw materials (Master Berg, Escorene, DOW, B.A.S.F, etc) into a liquid form and later to polythene sheets in whatever color or thickness desired.
  2. CUTTING  AND SEALING MACHINE:- This is the machine which cut the polythene into various sizes, it also seal the nylon according to specifications.

  3. PUNCHING MACHINE:- This machine is used to create holes, handles and specific carrier shapes of the polythene.
  4. A Generating set (40-60kva).
The major raw materials are petroleum products and master Berg. Master-Berg is the color matter added to the polyethylene by products to give its various colors. The production process of polyethylene sheet is simple but technical. The raw material (either B.A.S.F or Escorene or DOW) is poured into the heating and melting unit of the extruder machine. This is heated, melted and converted to a liquid substance, which is blown under pressure through a passage and simultaneously cooled in the process by an air generating apparatus. Producing polyethylene sheets directed by a series of rollers converting it into bales in the output unit of the extruder. The sheets are now taken to cutting and sealing machine and subsequently to the handle-cutting machine.

  1. MARKET FEASIBILTY
The demand for polythene shopping bags has been identified to continue to expand as the standard of living of the over 160 million population growing at the rate of 5.7% per annum continues to surge. The supply gap situation in Nigeria has created a market gap estimated at N 2.7 Billion annually in revenue. A growing market exists for the production of polythene in Nigeria because of the relative high demand for other goods. The product

Surest Way To Build A Successful Business?

Starting a small business and becoming successful is often part of our daily dream. But there is a difference between starting a business and building a successful business. Many businesses fail within the first few years of existence due to the lack of planning for the long-term. There is not enough vision and there is not enough done to strengthen the business properly from the ground up.
If you want to start a business there is an easy way to get a better understanding of why some businesses fail and others don't. When starting a business think about it similar to building a house. If done right it is protecting you against any kind of storm or danger of the outside world and will last for a long time. It offers shelter and protection. For you and your business that could be translated to that you want to have a business that is able to weather economical ups and downs turbulence and that will provide income to pay the bills (shelter and protection).

When building a house there are several different steps you need to follow to have the house built. You know you want a house, but you got to pick a location and get an architect to plan everything out. In the business world that would be: you know you want to start a business, but you have to come up with a business idea and work out a business plan. The next thing for the house would be to build the foundation (and eventually the basement) for the house. In the business world - you got to build the initial infrastructure (example: connecting with vendors, find a manufacturer for your product, create a sales team, rent office space, get a delivery truck, etc.). Once that is in place you will be able to actually do business and earn some money. But you are not completely done yet. You need to build a frame, put in windows and you also need a roof on house. For your business this means that you pay off debt, improve business processes and get professional help when needed (example: find a corporate Lawyer, select an accounting service, etc.). You can get FREE BUSINESS TRAINING HERE...http://linkz.mobi/vc/d8brt

Once the house is built you probably want to fill it with furniture and make it livable for the future. Nobody wants to sleep on the floor, right. Again translating this to the business world it could mean

TOP 5 REASONS WHY SELF-EMPLOYED PROFESSIONALS SHOULD TAKE VACATION

So you think you're not justified in taking time away from your business because you're self-employed? Few weeks back, I had a couple of requests for business plans and content marketing developments for some clients, two of my clients are not even living in Nigeria, as a matter of fact, their expectation of me was very high in terms of what am suppose to deliver to them. These projects made me stay awake sometimes till 3.am in the night consecutively, and the weekend that follows those nights were also busy with other activities.
However, on Monday, I found out that my energy level had dropped due to fatigue and mental stress occasioned by conceptualizing bespoke ideas for my clients, my voice became cracked, I felt tired almost the entire day and had to leave office earlier than I used to. It was later I realized I shouldn’t have been to the office on Monday even though it’s the first day of the work week; I should have taken the desired rest to rejuvenate the body system.
Therefore, for so many other entrepreneurs and self-employed professionals out there, there is always time for you to take the desired rest as you keep up the hustle; here are five great reasons why you should definitely take a vacation.

1. PHYSICAL BREAKDOWN OF BODY SYSTEM: You work hard to grow and maintain your business. Trying to be superhuman will certainly take its toll if you allow it to. Give your body a break by taking in some Rest and Relaxation.

2. MENTAL DOWN TIME: Your days are filled with busy, sometimes even hectic, day-to-day activities related to your business. If you don't allow yourself to get away from it once in a while, your peace of mind and general well-being will most definitely suffer. Get out and play. Your mind will thank you!

3. SPENDING TIME WITH LOVED ONES: Your family and friends see you working, working, working, and sometime rarely coming up for air. Both you and they will appreciate spending some quality time together.

4. SEE THE WORLD (OR YOUR OWN BACK YARD): The important thing is to do something you enjoy, whether it's traveling or, if that's not your cup of tea or you

TOP Characteristics Of An Effective Entrepreneur

Before a doctor diagnoses a specific disease, his patient must undergo a series of laboratory exams and assessments. He has to know the history of his patient and how lifestyle affected his present health problem. As results come in, that would be an indication of the time when a physician gives specific drugs and therapies for maintenance. This will eventually contribute to the level of optimum health for that individual. If all else fails, the process will be repeated again.
Similar to what the above mentioned situation has stated, an entrepreneur’s responsibility would be pretty much the same. It’s just that, he should see his customers as his patients and what they must have to survive a present predicament or a need. He must follow certain steps before doing anything irrational that could contribute to the downfall of his business. He should have certain characteristics innate in his personality for if he lacks one of these, he’s most probably doomed to fail.
Entrepreneurship is collectively defined as exhibiting one’s vision, taking action, and pursuing that vision as a goal to be achieved in life as service to reality. In the meaningless definition, it’s getting your butt out of that couch and doing something rather than fulfilling your life’s destiny of being a couch potato. Stated below are some of the distinct attitudes an entrepreneur should positively have:

• Optimism – is foreseeing things in a positive way notwithstanding any circumstances that may hinder progress. The assertiveness of an individual depends on his knowledge of how to handle a difficult situation.

• Creativity – is thinking outside the box. Expanding one’s mind of what is beyond the ordinary through fine research and collection of data.

• Stability – either physical, mental, social or emotional, a leader must possess a stable

Leaving behind a job you’ve become accustomed to is never easy and there are many reasons that people say goodbye to a job. Some leave a job because they’ve outgrown the work and are no longer challenged mentally.

Maybe that’s you and you’re planning a new and exciting future away from the same old grind but you’re not quite sure how to exit gracefully.

How to Register Your Business/Company/Incorporated Trusteeship/Religious Organizations with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2 weeks or less.

Dear Readers,

I will like to say a BIG THANK you for reading this free report. I am very sure that after reading this free report you will worry less as to how to go about a formal incorporation with the CAC. I will be revealing to you the details in formalizing a name with the corporate affairs commission in 3 weeks or less.

The Corporate Affairs Commission (The body responsible for registering of businesses) was established by the companies and allied matters act, which was promulgated in 1990 to regulate the formation and management of companies, formalizing incorporated Trusteeships, registration of schools, religious organizations, NGO’s, etc in Nigeria.

The establishment of the Corporate Affairs Commission as an autonomous body was as a result of the perceived inefficiency and ineffectiveness of the erstwhile Company Registry, a department within the Federal Ministry of Commerce and Tourism which was then responsible for the registration and administration of the repealed Companies Act of 1968.

For instance, if you want to register a business name, you can do it in two ways. One is to engage the services of a lawyer or Business consultants in CAC matters and they will get it done for you with about N20,000- N25,000.

The second way to get your business name registered is to do it YOURSELF. Yes, you can walk into any branch of the corporate affairs commission and you will get your business registered.

The trouble with this is that if you do not know the secrets of going about it, you will spend months trying to get your business name registered. And I've not even considered those that will be asking you for bribe before you get your business done. This report will reveal the secrets to you.

BUT WHY DO YOU EVEN NEED TO HAVE A CORPORATE NAME
Benefits attached to having a corporate name are so numerous but I will highlight few here.
·         It gives you a self esteem
·         It is an identity
·         It is an investment for the future
·         It can give you freedom
·         It is easier to raise fund as a business than individual
·         It is a way to create a brand name for marketing purpose
·         etc.

The First Thing You Should Do

Once you are ready to register your business name with the corporate affairs commission, the first thing you should do is to go to their office nearest to you.

Take a look at some of their offices.

list of small business with little or no capital.continuation series...........

continuation series.....

11. WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT: Experience, training or licensing may be needed. Many courses exist (many of which, logically, are offered online) where you can learn the language of website creation and can learn about the details, like how to set up shopping cart systems, security concerns, etc. But lately we have seen ready tools on some hosting site like wordpress, ipage, simplesite and so on, on this hosting site are ready tools for even the novice in web design. You will, of course, need to learn about each company you design for. What is the atmosphere of the company that you need to reflect in the website design--is it wild and contemporary, meaning brilliant colors and fun graphics? Or will more classic colors like black, navy blue and maroon is more appropriate? Many small businesses in Nigeria does not have a web presence, even the bigger corporations only possess a web banner or billboard, you can propose an interactive website to small businesses at a cheaper rate of say N10k or more and start building your client lists from there. This business requires little or no capital to start.

12. DAY CARE: If you are the type that naturally loves kids around, this is an opportunity for you to tap into. Perhaps you have children of your own and the idea of taking care of a few more for part of the day appeals to you. Child-care needs continue to soar in this part of the world as the task of professional career seems to be more demanding. Many people prefer the option of their child being cared for in a home environment while they are at work, opposed to a more institutional-like setting. These things mean that a home based childcare business can get off and running immediately. If you are living in at least a 3bedroom apartment and there is an extra room unoccupied, please don’t let rat and cockroach take advantage of it, talk to friends in the neighborhood who might need such services, with a simple handbills and short message advert it will surely pay to have kids around.

13. GIFT BASKET/PACKAGING SERVICE: Finding a niche is the best way to start out in the gift basket business.  If you had flare for gifts and souvenirs why don’t you look for clients who could put together baskets that hold the things that people with this interest would like too! You can create a product that a gift basket could be built around, I saw a fruit basket designed by First Bank Plc and presented to a customer at Alausa secretariat Ikeja Lagos, it was a piece of creativity as everybody was taking picture of it. With a capital of N50k-N100k, you can start this business. Marketing your gift basket service is not an arduous task, just talk to friends, families, congregational friends and colleagues, and if you have a little budget for advert and proposal it’s all well and good for publicity.

14. BEAUTY SALON/HAIRSTYLIST: Hairstyling is a popular business that can be quite lucrative. Generally, with the trend in fashion statements nowadays, hairstylists are usually busy. If you already have your apprenticeship training and experience, and loads of friends especially ladies under your belt, you probably have a following that will follow you right home without any hesitation. You can have a unisex salon under one roof, get some boys and girls from cotonou, they are very good in weaving and braids, place them on salary or commission and your life will not remain the same!

15. MUSIC LESSONS:  Some people are naturally gifted in music and sound instruments, either as a result of being in the choir, or family affairs or personal interest in music and sound could be an inspiration. You want to stick to the instrument(s) you know, but you may be a skilled enough musician to offer lessons on several different instruments, or those in a particular class, e.g., stringed or woodwind. You can decide to take on individuals or classes, depending on space and availability of instruments. Public schools are continually reducing their commitment to art and music classes for students, so you can try to work with the public school system to supplement their efforts in those areas. I have a friend, Shina by name, he has been taking advantage of his deep knowledge of the musical instruments to make extra income way back school days, even as comfortable person today, he still plays organ for his church AVM in GRA and private personality when occasion demands. Here, your hidden talent could be your buried treasure.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to make ends meet with just one income source. Thus more and more people are investigating the possibilities of starting their own extra income home business. Most of these part time endeavors are started and operated from the comfort of their home.
Before you start: the first thing you must do however is some basic market research. Find out for yourself, first-hand, just how many people will be interested in your proposed products or services, and would be willing to stand in line and pay money for it.
This is known as defining your market and identifying your prospective customers. If after checking around telling people about your ideas, with a whole lot of people over a period between 1 – 3 weeks, you get the idea that these people would be paying customers; your next effort should be directly towards the “detailing” of your business plan.
IF CRAFTING A BUSINESS PLAN WILL NOT LET YOU KICK-START A BUSINESS, I WILL TRY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO GIVE A STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO WRITING A BUSINESS PLAN AND ALSO GIVE YOU SAMPLE OF A BUSINESS PLAN I DEVELOPED.
The more precise and detailed your plan covering all the basis related to how you will do everything that you needs to be done- the easier is going to be for you to attain success. Such a plan show your start-up investment needs, your advertising plans, your product costs and procedures, your sales program, and how your time would be allocated.
Too often enthusiastic and ambitious entrepreneurs jump in on an extra income project and suddenly find that the costs are beyond their abilities and the time requirements are more than they can meet.
It pays to lay it all out on paper before you get involved, the clearer you can “see” everything before you start the better your chances for success.
Have you always wanted to become your own boss and take control of your time, work at home using your spare room/space, backyard or your one room apartment as an office and residential but never had a clue of money making ideas to pursue your dream? You do not have to wait for manners to fall from heaven before you take first step to financial liberty, just one of these money-making idea can be your blueprint for success. The list is not exhaustive but I believed you can pick an interest in one or two of the businesses listed

1.     CONSULTANCY SERVICES: - This is the foremost of the small businesses one could ever think of; one can basically consult on almost anything and everything. Just think of any special skill in your possession and pronto, you can make a reasonable income from it. E.g. marriage counseling, business consult, legal consult, property consultancy, educational consults media consultant, etc. One do not have to possess any capital to start consulting, just some contacts on your phone, email addresses and referrals from family and friends, you are good to go.
2.     RESTAURANT: - No matter how poor people may be, food still remains the number one basic necessities of life before clothing and shelter. If you can do it right, it’s one of the surest way to crossing the poverty line. If you are still in doubt, please visit Equal Right in Somolu, Amala Sonola in ogba Aguda, Ewa-Agonyin palace in Unilag etc. With a capital between N50K – N100k, you should be making a residual income from it.
