FAMILY BUSINESS VALUES

I was watching an NTA program this morning and saw Chinyere Kesko who is a female furniture maker in the south eastern part of the country, she was mentored by her husband who is also a furniture maker too. She has carved a niche for herself in the furniture industry.

Lesson 1: whether you are a male or female, there is NO limit to what area of business you can exploit.

Lesson 2 : You can be part of your spouse business in a lot of way, like i am the brand and business development manager of my wife's fashion business and am loving the challenge of how she serves her customers right.

Lesson 3: Its been generally agreed that people like those persons who are seen as doing service expected to be done by the opposite gender. e.g Female mechanic in V.I Lagos, Male hairstylist, Lady cobbler in Allen Ikeja, and also Chinyere Lady furniture maker.

Start something unusual today to receive an uncommon acceptance in the business cycle.

10 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD START AN ONLINE BUSINESS IN 2017

1.    EXTRA SOURCE OF INCOME: You can earn a lot of money on the side while keeping your day job or even if you do not work 9-5pm. Extra revenue is sure if you get your act right in online business.

2.    LOW START-UP COST: It doesn’t cost much to start running an online course. With your laptop, ipad, tablets, smart phones, even desktop from the cybercafé would equally do the wonder and a reasonable megabyte from the service providers will make you a superstar if you have the will.

3.    YOU CAN DO IT ONCE AND KEEP GETTING PAID EVERY TIME: Some online marketers usually create a product or service once, usually the work is done up front and once everything is up and running, you can earn income with little to no maintenance.

Get a Better Job –Turn Your Hobby Into a Money Machine

If you’re bored with your current job or feel you’re stuck in a no-win situation with no chance of advancement it may be time to seek a better job.  But, as the saying goes, don’t give up your day job just yet.  At least until you’ve found something better unless you have a working spouse who’s very understanding.

Ask yourself what you’d like to be doing.  Consider all your special interests and skills.  Where do you excel at the present time and where did you excel in school?  You need to set some near term and long term goals.

Start with examining your present job to see if there’s any chance of advancement or change of jobs within the company.  Talk with your boss or company counselor to find out your options.

Don’t threaten them with leaving or express unhappiness with what you’re doing.  Just let them know you

What Kind of Online Businesses Can You Launch with your prospective ideas?

Starting an online business can be one of the most exciting experiences of your life. It can also be the most confusing if you’re not sure what kind of business you’d like to have. There’s a popular saying that says, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.”
That means you need to make sure that your online income doesn’t all come from just one source. A way that you can diversify that source is to start selling info products. You can create an information product in as little as a day, depending on what the product is.

One of the best info products to sell is to write and sell your own eBook. You need to write an eBook on a topic that people are searching for information about. The topic can be some

Why Being An Entrepreneur Is Much Better Than a J-O-B

There are several reasons why being an entrepreneur is much better than a J-O-B. With the responsibility of running your own business, you also have the freedom to pursue the most financially and personally rewarding avenues.

Instead of sitting behind a desk and being told what you have to achieve for the day or for the year, you’re free to set your own goals and objectives. No more time spent working on projects that don’t fulfill you.

When you’re an entrepreneur, you get to set the goals, you get to choose the direction your business takes and which projects will be the best fit for your endeavor. Because you will be the one to know your company best, achieving your goals will not only feel financially rewarding but will also be personally rewarding as well.

In addition to getting to decide the direction your business heads, you’ll also be cutting down on the time it takes to get back and forth to work. For many people, their daily commute represents time that could better be spent on other

How to Say Goodbye to your JOB and Be Your Own Boss From Now On

Leaving behind a job you’ve become accustomed to is never easy and there are many reasons that people say goodbye to a job. Some leave a job because they’ve outgrown the work and are no longer challenged mentally.

Others leave because of office politics or poor pay despite all their hard work. A few leave a job because they’ve decided that it’s time to be their own boss. Maybe that’s you and you’re planning a new and exciting future away from the same old grind but you’re not quite sure how to exit gracefully.

Never burn bridges. Though it’s tempting to finally get everything you’ve been holding in off your chest, you never know when you might need that former boss as a reference or as a networking opportunity, so make sure that you leave gracefully.

Give a two-week notice and clear everything out of your to-do box to make the transition easier for the next person who will fill your shoes. Gather all of the contact information

10 THINGS NO ONE WILL TELL YOU ABOUT BEING A SELF-EMPLOYED/AN ENTREPRENEUR.

  1. LESS RESPECT: - People often think you are not serious by leaving CERTAINTY for UNCERTAINTY whenever you leave your paid Job to start a small scale business. Some will even assume you are not really doing anything because you are not as busy or dedicated as people who work in a paid employment.

BANK CHARGES: A FRAUD OR A FEE?

I would like to crave the readers’ indulgence to permit me express my opinion in the simplest language as a layman who does not understand the workings, laws and rules of the financial institutions. Having had a brief stint as a marketer in one of the new generation bank I can confidently analyze the drama associated with customer’s complaints whenever issues of spurious charges and illegal deductions rears its ugly head while in the employment of the bank. As a staff of the bank in those ‘BANK TARGET’ era of banking operations, not many of us really understand the pain and emotional difficulties experienced by bank’s customers whenever they complain of deductions as miserly as N100, but five years down the lane I was out of that corridor of the financial institutions and I know where the shoe really pinches. I can tell the values of peanuts and crumbs as an entrepreneur, I know what it cost to gather resources, to build funds in your bank account and ultimately smile home at the end of every project.

Consequently, there are some bad times for entrepreneurs when N100 will make a difference and save an ugly situation such as dishonoring a cheque as a result of deductions never envisaged. I have witnessed many a times customers closure of their bank account because some charges the bank could not explain were carried out on the aggrieved customer’s account. Whether the bank apologizes or return the funds back to the account will still not hold back the ill feelings associated with these manipulations by the banks. My wife had an experience with her bank sometime on a Saturday in April 2014, she attempted to withdrew money from FCMB ATM Akute Ogun State, and

CAN-KERWORMS: ORITSEJAFOR CAN OF WORM

“Seven Deadly Sins
Wealth without work
Pleasure without conscience
Science without humanity
Knowledge without character
Politics without principle
Commerce without morality
Worship without sacrifice.”—Mahatma Ghandhi.
Much has been said about the CAN President in the person of Ayo Oritsejafor, he (Ayo) ought to know by now that the whole story about the botched arm deal is a bad omen to his priesthood. How else in this world would it have been imagined if the Pope of the Catholic Church is involved in illegal or black market purchase of Arms and Ammunitions for the Italian Government? It is unholy, ungodly and sacrilegious.
What I seems not to fathom of the whole saga is the fact that the Nigerian Government has evasively hidden the identities of the supposedly two officials alongside the Israeli ,Eyal Mesiaka caught with $9.3million on board the Private jet of the CAN President in South-Africa. Were the government officials involved in the failed illegal arms deal on government payroll or could it be they were only hired as consultants for the sting operation to procure arms for the Government or Christian Association of Nigeria?

When will the government asked the church to formally update and modify its memorandum and articles of association to a profit oriented entity since Oritsejafor has a corporate organization with which he leased the private jet in question?

NEO-SECESSION AGENDA: BOKO-HARAM DELUSIONAL MICRONATION CALLED CALIPHATES

NEO-SECESSION AGENDA: BOKO-HARAM DELUSIONAL MICRONATION CALLED CALIPHATES.
As of the time writing this piece, I was wondering if the title will capture what goes on in my mind touching on declaration of a caliphate by the outlawed Boko-haram sect. However, I will be requesting for the complete document on the Oath of Office sworn to by the President of the Federal Republic Nigeria, at least the Freedom of information Act is yet to be abrogated so I can make use of that tool. The most discernible part of the Oath of Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is to ‘’Protect the Territorial Integrity of the CONGLOMERATION called Nigeria”. In the light of the foregoing, how effortless was the Boko-Haram able to declare a caliphate in Nigerian Territory when we still have President Jonathan steering the affairs of the all-powerful, populous, flushest, and most influential black nation in the entire world?
Few weeks back, Boko-Haram declared a caliphate in Gwoza town in the Northern part of the country and even made a mockery of the Nigerian Army by showing us a video of the Nigerian troops squirting to neighbouring country, Cameroon, a move the Nigerian Military authority tagged ‘’Tactical’’. When will the Nigerian Government heed to calls from patriots, soldiers, foreign observers and wives of the Soldiers that the troops be better equipped with modern combat weapons to confront the seditious elements? About 480 souls of our darling soldiers could have been squandered had they not taken to their heels and seek refuge in Cameroon. In a contrast development in UK according to CNN, Scotland will this month decide in referendum whether it wants to go it alone as an independent country and split away from the United Kingdom. Also, the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) led by Ralph Nwazuruike have established a currency and proclaiming an independent state called BIAFRA.
Dr Judy Lattas of Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia defines a micronation as a self declared entity that’s either virtual or very small (though some are actually quite large when compare with microstate such as Monaco or the Vatican).Dr Lattas is of the opinion that ‘’there are incredible differences among them and no clear sense of unity at all’’. In addition, she opine that ‘’Many reject the notion of micro-nations outright. Some are secessionists and some aren’t. Some are more like virtual-game playing, some are art projects, some are very cyberpunk and others are quite serious political protests or indigenous sovereignty movements’’.
However, some of these micronations are borne of out of dissenting agitations for ‘Independence’ desires. Take the issue of Boko-Haram and Biafra in Nigeria, the former is clamouring for a non-western ideologies and religious secession while the latter is desirous of independence as a result of perceived jaundiced resource control system in Nigeria. All of these generally follows a secession model and take inspiration from the Montevideo Convention on the Rights and Duties of States (signed in 1933 by the United States and numerous Latin American countries) and clearly states that:
  • There must be grievance
  • There must be members
  • There must be some sort of declaration
  • There must be perceived wrong against a dissenting group
And if the group claim goes unanswered –you don’t, for example, receive any kind of formal rejection-then it’s assumed by default that you’ve succeeded in seceding. Boko-Haram has been a major phenomenon in Nigerian history, they have succeeded in exposing the laxity and rot in our security system making us vulnerable to external aggression if not addressed promptly. Sometimes ago, MASSOB militant group was able to gain access to the Government house in Enugu causing a serious storm in a tea-cup, were it not for the timely intervention of Military back-up of Governor Sulivan Chime of Enugu State, they would have succeeded in overthrowing the Government and many lives would have been lost in the struggle for emancipation of BAIFRA state. Boko-Haram would have wreak havoc on the state of Borno if they had half chance what MASSOB did in Enugu Government house, they are the offshoot of Al-qaeda and other terrorist group such as ISIS of Iraq and Syria. Their modus operandi is to coerce and maim innocent souls in the name of religion and hatred passion for western education.
Consequently, we are experiencing a new world order in secession which calls for global attention. It is irrevocably becoming a wish to just wake up from slumber, raise an army of dissenting voice and declare a MICRONATION (Vatican or Monaco), CALIPHATE (Boko-haram), STATE (ISIS), etc. In my own opinion, I do not really see the micronations surviving beyond the borders of their wishful desires, because the world itself keeps getting smaller and becoming a global village as a result of direct/indirect international relationships brought about by factors such as:
  • Trade,
  • Education,
  • Technologies,
  • Marriages,
  • Exchange Programmes
  • Religion
  • Others
In conclusion, Boko-haram should never be deceived into believing that Nigeria as a country will tolerate their boisterous tirade that a caliphate has been twisted out in the Northern part of Nigeria, the shindig revelry will soon be over as President Jonathan will kick-start his campaign for re-election soon and he really needs to abide with the National Pledge which goes thus:

I pledge to Nigeria my country
To be Faithful Loyal and Honest
To serve Nigeria with all my Strength
To defend her UNITY and UPHOLD her Honour and Glory
So help me God.

With the National Pledge in President Jonathan’s mind, Boko-Haram is truly in a state of disillusionment; Boko-haram had better have a re-think and retrace their steps before Jonathan’s campaign train gets to Borno state. Perhaps, Boko-haram could equally visit some micronations around the world and tap into the knowledge with which they created their mini empires. Here are the lists of such micronations:
  • The Republic Of Molossia ( US state of Nevada)
  • The Republic of Kugelmugel (Austria)
  • The Free Republic Of Alcatraz (Italy)
  • Freetown Christiana (Copenhagen Denmark)
  • The Principality of Hutt River (West Australia)
  • Akhziv Land (Israel)
  • The Naminara Republic ( South Korea)
  • The Republic of Uzupis ( Lithuania)

Nigeria-Red-Palm-Oil

I am going to show you exactly how to do it. It's not difficult at all; in fact it is one of the easiest business you can do in Nigeria and make quick money within four months. I happen to know places in Nigeria where you can get this product at cheap prices and place where you can sell it at good price, I am going to make everything clear to you on this post...

What is Red Palm Oil? Red palm oil is natural oil extract from palm three fruit. You and I knows the importance of red palm oil in Nigeria. No home that doesn't cook with it and no tribe or religion that forbids it. It is generally accepted and widely used, not only in Nigeria but around the world.

Using palm oil for cooking has greater health benefits over the vegetable oil as it is said to have high concentration of vitamin E in the finest proportion. Your body tends to get better health benefits as a result of the vitamin E present in the red palm oil rather than taking a commercial vitamin E capsule. It is also rich in carotene and possess strong healing power.

Why Trade on Red Palm Oil

Palm oil is one of the commodity constantly in high demand in Nigeria. There is never a time it wouldn't be a hot cake in the market and it is consumed at the same rate as rice and garri. Palm oil is currently sold in Lagos and other major cities across the country at N6,000 for 25liters but if you go to the farm areas where it is produced in quantity, you can get the same 25liters at N4,000.

There are even a time of the year you may get this product at N2,500 - N3,000 per 25litres. If you can get it in quantity during the time of surplus and store it for some months, you will sell at 100% profit. It is usually surplus around December to April and sells at the highest around July to September.

If you invest N500,000 and wait for 4 months, you will be making profit of another N500,000 without any substantial effort. That is a good deal by all standard and the more money you invest, the more profit you make.

If you decides to trade all season that will even be better. All you need to do is to find out where it's being processed in much quantity and buy at cheap price from there, transport it to the city and sell at good price, repeat your journey as often as you can and make money all year round.

So, how do you trade on this commodity and make money?

1. Secure a Shop - You will need a shop or any safe place for storage. If you have your own house, that will be nice, just dedicate one room for the storage. However, it will be better if you can rent a shop specifically for it preferably near the market.

2. Look for Places to Buy - There are many places you can get palm oil very cheap and in great quantity in Nigeria. It is available in bulk in various parts of Ondo State. It is also available in Edo State but the king of original, high quality palm oil is Ebonyi State.Travel round the states and source from the various local markets and local palm oil processors.

Transport Your Goods - If you have your own truck or van, that will be fantastic but if not, you'd have to make do with hiring. Buy everything you want to buy, get a truck to transport it to your base and store it in your shop.

Sell Your Goods - Wait until the price goes up then you open your shop and sell at a very good price. It is a perfect way to invest money instead of keeping it to the bank with peanut paid as interest on fix deposit. It is like buying property and reselling at higher prices later.
